Chardonnay
MACON-VILLAGES, Joseph Drouhin 2009 - $9.95
Neighbor to Pouilly-Fuissé, the wines from Macon are bright, dry with pleasant aroma of honey and acacia. Winemaker Véronique Boss-Drouhin says: “The colour of the wine is bright and limpid. The nose is floral and fruity. Very straightforward and direct on the palate, as if biting into a grape. Fresh and light, with a very pleasant aftertaste".
DRY CREEK “Foggy Oaks”, Russian River Valley - $9.05
At first swirl, Foggy Oaks Chardonnay presents a crisp exotic spice character. After several minutes in the glass, more subtle notes of melon, honeysuckle, and apricot appear. On the palate, the wine is balanced and luscious, held together with bright acidity and good structure. Flavors of vanilla, pear, and nutmeg round out the mouth feel, leading to a seamless finish that lingers on and on.
2008 vintage, 75% malolactic, 100% barrel aging (14 months in French oak), 13.9% alcohol.
Sauvignon Blanc

The Groth Sauvignon Blanc is one of the Napa Valley sauvignon blancs you can’t miss tasting. The wine is fresh with delicious ripe melon and refreshing citrus flavors. A percentage of the wine is aged on its lees so it takes on a nice richness, and the rest is fermented in stainless steel, so you get that dual crisp and rich texture (St. Helena Star).

This Viognier is unoaked, and gives off soft, subtle aromas of peach, pear and honeysuckle. Long finish with balanced crispness.
